Lady Gaga will re-team with the legendary Tony Bennett to record a jazz album that, according to Bennett, will show Gaga in a very flattering light.
“It’s going to really reaffirm that she’s one of the best jazz singers that anyone’s ever heard,” the 86-year-old singer told Billboard.
The two sang a rousing rendition of “The Lady Is a Tramp” for Bennett’s 2011 album, Duets II. After the experience, Gaga told her dad that she wanted to “do a jazz album with Tony Bennett.” Papa Gaga then called Mr. Bennett while his daughter was on tour in Australia.
The album will follow after Bennett’s Viva Duets and the Lady’s ARTPOP.

Tony’s Duet II album is wonderful. The duet with LG is absolutely one of the best.

It’s good to see that artist acknowledge the old school along with it’s classics and do a good job singing them. Hopefully many a great love song will be covered in the album.
