Tony Perkins’ Sad Face Over Passports Losing Their Mother-Father Labels (Updated)

Beginning Feb. 1, U.S. passport applications will forgo asking travelers who their “mother” and “father” are, and instead will have entry fields for “parent one” and “parent two.” The State Department says these changes “improvements,” but Tony Perkins says, “Only in the topsy-turvy world of left-wing political correctness could it be considered an ‘improvement’ for a birth-related document to provide less information about the circumstances of that birth.” And as we all know, it’s important to take Mr. Perkins’ advice regarding children. UPDATE: Caving to pressure from “family values” groups, the State Department has updated the changes in the forms. They will now ask for “mother or parent 1” and “father or parent 2.”
