Baptist minister and former Spring Arbor University professor Julie “Formerly John” Nemecek knew the end was nigh, but she had no idea it would come so soon.
Her employers at the Michigan-based, Christian-leaning university told him they would not renew her contract past June after Nemecek announced his plans to start living as a woman.
As part of their agreement, SAU made Nemecek sign a contract agreeing not to appear on campus as a woman. Now, after Nemecek had her name legally changed to Julie, the university’s cut him loose, insisting Nemecek violated the aforementioned contract.
In light of this decision, Nemecek’s out on her pretty little ass.
While it may seem like Nemecek’s life’s in shambles, at least one thing came out of this mess: her wife Joanna has realized the error of her Biblically endorsed, transphobic ways. She tells Detroit News:
I have grown in my understanding of what being a transsexual is. That hasn’t changed my marriage vows… God has given me strength and love to go through what we have gone through already. Nothing will change my love for my husband.
Isn’t it nice when things like that work out? Let’s just hope Nemecek can survive the professor’s discrimination suit against the college.

FEMME
What are you using terms like, Tranny? How about using the term the person uses to self identify rather then throw your own little bias in for headline grabbing?
I find it distasteful and looking through your site I don’t see headlines like, “Fag, Pansy, etc” Nor do I see any which are derogitory towards other minorities.
