Iowa wore us out last night, so we decided to zone out with Bravo’s Make Me A Supermodel. Honestly, there’s nothing super about this Tyson Beckford/Niki Tayor hosted show. It looks low budget and neither model host has enough personality to hold our attention. In fact, the only person who piqued our interested was 22-year old model named Shannon, who’s apparently a man.
My name’s Shannon, and one of the most interesting facts about me is that despite my extremely feminine physical appearance, I’m actually a man…I’m one of the most masculine girls you’ll ever meet. I’m like one of the boys.
Cue snickers from gawking, lanky models and hosts.

From the way they presented this, you couldn’t tell if she was actually saying he was transsexual, or that she was just a manly girl.

True, though I got the distinct impression she’s just boyish, not transish. But zowie you hit the mark on the show’s overall quality. I’m willing to overlook the bland hosts and dismal production values, however, as long as they continue to trot out the extremely lovely young gentlemn wearing very little at all…

I thought they made it clear she isn’t transgendered. She just used the phrase “I’m a man” to indicate she feels like one mentally.
I loved another one of the models: Ronnie Kroell. He is the one who told the story about finding out his boyfriend was a porn star & escort. Ronnie is the hottest guy on this show, and he’s gay. PLUS he is definitely the smartest person on the show. His biography shows a lot of gumption for a kid his age.
