sam-trammell-stephen-moyer-gay-scene-true-blood-bil-compton-sam-merlotteI get naked as much as I’ve ever gotten naked in this season. And there’s a few other people that get naked. Joe (Manganiello) gets naked. We’re not going to do a final season without getting naked.”

Sam Trammell discussing True Blood‘s crowd-pleasing penchant for getting its actors naked as frequently as possible in an interview with Variety

How about a good plot this season instead of nudity?

  • hotboyvb81

Naked- yes, but is there going to be frontal????

  • tdx3fan

Yes, but no one really wants to see that. There is nothing sexy at all about Sam Trammell in the Hollywood sense (he is just so plain and so unattractive in the face). There is only one person in the entire show worth seeing naked (Jason) and the ones they show naked the most are the ones that should have kept their clothes on.

We are [desperately] trying to watch Season 6 on Netflix, but my husband and I are both going “These story lines SUCK!” We’re hating Season 6… an awful lot. Just in the first 3 episodes (disc 1) we’re actually rooting for people to get killed off.

Can we make it through the rest?

I remember binge-watching Seasons 1 and 2. We could not turn away, now we can barely tune in.

@tdx3fan: You are f***ing nuts. I’d rather see him naked than Ryan any day. Sam is HOT!

  • Malibu Eric

‘Beauty is in the eye of the beholder’ is SO true. Sam is my absolute hands down (my pants) favorite hot character. I’ve devoted hours of fantasies on him.

  • DomitoJo

every season the cast says they’ll be tons of nudity and it never turns out to be anything shocking or surprising.

  • DomitoJo

    @lkeels:

yes, season six was pretty bad, IMO. It was a sign that its definitely time for the series to end.

As a world class quibbler I must comment on this article’s headline. You can’t get more naked than naked. You can get naked more often or you can show different body parts but once you are naked there is no way to get more naked.

  • niles

Too little too late for this series. The only thing even remotely homoerotic has been a “dream sequence” or two.

@tdx3fan: Oh snap, are you really so young and/or pretty that you can’t appreciate a good lookin’ guy? Dude, you are so missing out on visual pleasure, not only on Trueblood, but prob in real life as well. Sam, Jason, Eric, Bill, Alcid and Sookie’s season 6 boyfriend Warlo are all better looking than 99% of the guys I have hooked up with (and I ain’t that bad.) I def enjoy the sporadic nudity (if not all of the plot lines.)

  • Bromancer7

Meh, it doesn’t matter how naked they are on the set, if the goods aren’t on film and aren’t shown then it’s pointless. And no one wants to see a fake penis.

  • PARKAVMAN

Not ‘get more naked’, it should be ‘get naked more often’.

  • IcarusD

Ryan Kwanten has done rear nudity in the show. He’s said his comfortable with his body (and if I had that body, I would be naked all the damn time). Here’s hoping Jason Stackhouse’s final season ends with a bang!

  • Cagnazzo82

    Boardwalk Empire does nudity.

    Trueblood only implies it.

  • Billy Budd

Only the first season was truly good.

  • hotshot70

How do you get “more naked”? Will the guys show “full frontal” with “fully up”?

  • Ion Square

Personally, I’m an ass man. So my favorite nakedness on the show, hands down, was Sam’s brother Tommy — he had a fantastic rear end! No one else’s nude posterior (on the show) has even come close for me.

  • DuMaurier

@Ihadtosayit: “Honest body”. What a cool way to put it. And that IS my kind of body–no offense to Mr. Manganiello, but when I look at him the most I feel is a kind of admiration at the appalling effort it must take to attain (and maintain!)that statue-like glistening cyborg look. I much prefer the guy-guy, rumply, “Maybe my pecs aren’t made of inflated marble but I can change a carburetor” feel.

  • babybabybaby

    Keep those clothes coming off

  • Ihadtosayit

@DuMaurier: I have used that term “Honest Body” for years as the gay community has sought after the images of a body that can not be obtained or maintained unless you devote 2+ in the gym and thousands of dollars per year in supplements, enhancements and hair removal…those bodies are just to distracting and for all of their pumped up nature fall FLAT in many ways at least for myself…

I am also fond of saying that “my body is 75% of what I do not eat and 25% exercise”…some people will want to drool and squirm at over the top bodies but alas they do nothing for me…at 46 years old I have maintained a lean defined body with a 32 inch waist with only 45 minutes of exercise per day (4-5 times) a week….

“Your body’s like a piece of dynamite. You can tap it with a pencil all day, but you’ll never make it explode. You hit it once with a hammer, bang! Get serious, do 40 hard minutes, not an hour and a half of nonsense.”—Jason Statham

@Ion Square: I thought Tommy was adorable. I kept hoping they’d keep him around and get him more and more naked.

  • Ringo

Yes! I will be watching and waiting. I need to see Joe from all angles.

  • BECQueerty

Oh True Blood… I guess you’re the best we can do now that Game of Thrones is over. Once great, now… well, not so great. Shouldn’t have killed off Godric. You paid the price. Now you’re canceled.
