Cat Cora might have circled the globe on Around The World In 80 Plates, but the out chef won’t see the inside of a jail cell, after pleading no contest to driving under the influence and rear-ending another car.
After the Food Network star hit another driver in Santa Barbara, CA on June 17, a police officer administered a breathalyzer test, which registered a .20, more than twice the legal limit.
Cora, 45, was sentenced to nine months of DUI school, three years probation, a fine of $2,386 and a 120-day suspended jail sentence.
“I deeply regret my decision to drive that evening after my designated driver became unavailable,” Cora told Access Hollywood. “I learned a very important lesson from this experience and take full accountability for my actions. This will never happen again.”
Guess this means no more shots of ouzo with the sous-chefs, huh?

Cabs now, Cat. Good deal. Lesson learned.

Anybody who decides to drink then drive needs to be aware that their possibility of having an accident increases when their blood alcohol content rises. Alcohol and other mood-changing drugs can impair a driver’s ability to safely operate their vehicle.
