Fans of the Australian soap opera Neighbours are gushing over a super sensual sex scene between two of the hit show’s gay characters.
In yesterday’s episode, David and Rafael shared an, ahem, intimate moment in the bedroom.
“You haven’t done this much have you?” David asks Rafael before they hookup. “That makes two of us, I only came out last year. I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed.”
Oh-la-la!
The couple moves to the bedroom. Things start to get hot and heavy then all of a sudden Rafael becomes overwhelmed with the thought of showing the gnarly scars on his back that he sustained in a fire, so he asks David to stop.

“I know what it’s like to be self conscious, it’s just you and me here,” David assures him, before Rafael finally allows his lover to see him naked.
Viewers found the scene particularly poignant, especially since Rafael only recently admitted to himself that he’s gay.
I absolutely loved the implied sex scene tonight! It was just so beautiful. Huzzah for lgbt pride! It's so refreshing to see a gay sex scene! #neighbours

Not a fan of the show, but just happened to see the replay yesterday and was impressed with the way the scene was handled with such sensitivity.

I hadn’t heard of this Soap. I’m definitely going to check it out. The shirtless guy is gorgeous. Does anyone know what happened to his back? It looks
like he was whipped or caned.

@happiness17, the article’s 5th paragraph says, “Things start to get hot and heavy then all of a sudden Rafael becomes overwhelmed with the thought of showing the gnarly scars on his back that he sustained in a fire, so he asks David to stop.” IJS.

“Watch.”
Well, I would love to, but all that I see is a large white patch of empty website where I assume others can see a video window
I really wish you guys would fix your support for iOS/Safari.

Ditto!

I also cannot access the video. Didn’t know it was because of no support for us Safari (Mac) users. Shame on Queerty for this discrimination.

It’s probably blocked for where you live. Get a good VPN service. I use PureVPN and can be located in hundreds of cities and countries. Also shields what you access from spying eyes. All traffic goes to their IP address, then is encrypted and sent to you.
Daniel-Reader
I think it is geo-blocked.

Please don’t invite us to watch it if you’re not going to let us!!!
You’re making it hard not to be

It’s not a safari thing, I just watched it on my iPhone. I wish we got this show in the states.

It’s blocked on most all platforms unless Queerty just forgot to include it to be watched by readers. What a tease and it sucks. This happens to me 50% of the time with videos that Queerty teases and includes and when I click on it, it says it has been removed. WHY? This is a gay site. No one is going to be offended.

While I applaud the attitude to gay relations in Neighbours, I find a lot of the way they handle it a bit hard to take. Ryan Thomas as Raphael is well known in U.K. to viewers of Coronation Street where his character was far from gay, but got his kit off on a regular basis. Photos of shirtless Ryan are easy to find. They did deal with the night together well, if really muted, while quite often though in Neighbours the kissing and hugging looks a bit false, while the « gay » characters totally ignore some hunk of an extra Who walks past. And the gay characters also find themselves totally accepted with hardly any struggles, their sexuality accepted and talked about as if they are exactly the same as any boy girl relationship. It’s all a bit fantasy at times for me. Still the sun shines most of the time and the guys get out of their kit a lot. There’s also a female schoolteacher who wears clothes that would get her arrested if she were standing on a street corner. Nobody notices that either!

Neighbours hasn’t been the same since Kylie Minogue quit the show.
