In the few days since the Pulse Nightclub tragedy in Orlando, the world has risen up to show love and come together in a time of need. From vigils to fundraisers, thousands of people have declared that love will always win.
Then, along comes self-proclaimed “gaylebrity” Nick Starr-Street… and in a simple, 109-character tweet, reminds us that internet trolls will always have vile commentary to add.
Following this morning’s announcement of the RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race Season 2 cast, Nick tweeted “Seriously @RoxxxyAndrews? Isn’t she a has-been not a star? Where her people at? I thought they were all shot.”

Roxxxy Andrews, a drag queen who competed on the fifth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, started her drag career at Pulse Nightclub.
Star-Street’s tweet was not only a vicious attack aimed to hurt Roxxxy, but it is also a perfect example of how not to joke about a tragedy. This “joke” took things to a level that not even the late Joan Rivers would approve of.
“For 10 years this stage was my home. This club we helped build to what it was,” Roxxxy shared on June 13th in an emotional Instagram post, “We were family, we were a community. I started drag here! The memories will live on for ever. It was made to remember a pulse of a wonderful man and created its own pulse that lived in all of us. I’ll never forget my memories I’ll never forget the people. This stage and place will always be in my heart. I love u all and thank you for the memories.”

Cut the shit… Joan Rivers would have approved. It was insensitive, offensive, badly timed, and tone deaf to the overall somber mood in the community… classic Joan Rivers. This was probably somebody looking to jump on the old, tired ass “I hate Roxxy” bandwagon after her terrible attitude in Season 5, but that shit is in the past. Move the eff on, Nick, and stop trying to one-up everyone else in how much you hate Roxxy Andrews or Phi Phi O’hara, both of whom are fucking hot out of drag. Also, Lineysha Sparx… and Acid Betty. And of course, Pearl. And Raja. And Trinity K. Bonet. Okay, I’m done.

@Xzamilio: I approve of that mean old jew dying on the operating table from her pride and gluttony.
Bob LaBlah
At least Rupaul said SOMETHING. As for that phony over on E! Channel who needs our support to keep herself as relevant as those other media whores in her family go…………..

@IDoNotHaveToAgreeWithYou: I think you meant to say “mean old bag” since approving of somebody dying as a jew has an anti-semetic whiff that possibly makes others think things about you that you wouldn’t want.

He’s a white gay they are only second to white straight men in their insensitivity and clueless nature. Also jokes are supposed to be funny and this is not funny. Anyone who finds this amusing has a screw loose in my opinion. Also Joan Rivers was a horrible old bat who is hopefully roasting over fire pit in hell right now.

@Xzamilio: Joan Rivers explained that several days after Melissa received the police department call informing her of her fathers suicide, she took Melissa for dinner at a really expensive restaurant and said to her “If daddy were alive and saw these prices, he’d kill himself all over again” and made her laugh. This was part of her response to a question regarding whether humour was ever inappropriate. What that morbidly obese, walking obscenity said wasn’t humour, it was just a nasty hollow comment. I do not believe Joan would have approved.

Let’s get real – gay men are among the most insensitive, unkind people on earth. It. Is. A. Fact. This asshole’s comment is pathetic but not a surprise. It doesn’t mean we shouldn’t call him out for it but the reality is that gay men are mostly shallow and cruel.
Philigree
@ScottOnEarth: well, i don’t think i’ll be shallow and cruel to you and i’m a gay man. not saying that this accounts for much but, yeah. not everyone’s a dick. and sometimes, if you’re lucky, you’ll run into one of those people who make all the preceding shit worth the trouble.
Xzamilio
@MaxH: Well, she’s dead, so who gives a shit?
MyDadPulledOut
@ScottOnEarth: word brother. all you have to do is walk into any gay bar in west hollywood to know this is true.
DCguy
@ScottOnEarth: stated: “Let’s get real – gay men are among the most insensitive, unkind people on earth.”

Oh great, some narcissistic, self involved whiner is using his dating baggage to label an entire group. Hey guess what, that’s bigotry. But of course you don’t see it that way, because sometime in your past somebody didn’t like you, so of course all gay men are responsible. Pathetic. I’m sure you are now complaining because you weren’t in Orlando and can’t get attention off of that tragedy. Sorry, it’s not all about you.
