We love the I’m From Driftwood series that catalogs first-person coming out stories.
A recent share from Ron Malott of Kyle, Texas caught our eye for its unusual circumstances.
“So being from a big family and there being so many of us, I guess because my twin brother and I were sort of special and in the middle, we kind of felt a lot of pressure, probably put on us by ourselves, but still pressure to not disappoint anyone and to try to always be the best we could be,” Ron begins.

How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
He goes on to detail how he realized he was gay — a pretty damn adorable story involving Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon — and what happened when he came out to his twin brother, who is also gay.

I think it would be harder to come out to each other, but can be fun. They can be like hey mom we can be twinzes and both dress up like mom. Only if she was a fun an accepting mom

fuck… both… I hope she has other kids… or that one is bisexual and just thinks liking guys is gay even if he likes women… bisexual erasure causes that with plenty of folks… they are pressured into it and told they are gay when they ask people or go to a center.

@spemat: Yes that does happen to bisexual people. The people who are biphobic the most are gay men.

Setting aside for a moment the heartfelt sentimentality of this story, which is both moving and inspiring, the question that constantly puzzles me in all of these sorts of stories is, What on earth was SHE doing reading someone else’s private letter?
