Britney Spears is displeased that critics have been harping on her vocal talent.
In a new interview, she addressess the ongoing accusations that she never sings live:
“I’m glad you’re addressing this question, because it’s really funny. A lot of people think that I don’t do live.
I usually—because I’m dancing so much–I do have a little bit of playback but there’s a mixture of my voice and the playback.
It really pisses me off because I am busting my ass out there and singing at the same time and nobody ever really gives me credit for it.”
Of course, her comment left the door wide open for some good old-fashioned ribbing on Twitter:

Mmm…Britney?…A “hey” here and a “ho” there while the full vocal track plays in the background does not count as live singing. Moreover, the couple of times you actually have sung an entire song live in your nearly 20-year career, it was like hearing nails on a chalkboard. It’s common knowledge that your “voice” on record is just a digitally crafted composite of multiple studio singers, with maybe a line or two that you phoned in just to get that writing credit. But you know what, Pop-Bot? Your producers are hit-makers — and I’ll continue buying their product, even with the Britney label slapped over it.

True not many REAL singers any more ..one flick of the switch / auto tune anyone can sing….although some artist like John Lennon hated his voice .he was always asking producers to put something on it .echo , reverb anything.
Ms Speaks makes more money by doing less and less.. little or no singing..hardly dancing…minilli VanillI ..were better and they didn’t sing at all
