Twitter user @NonyeBiko, who claims to be a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs from Westminster with a Ph.D. in psychology from University of Birmingham, caused quite a stir recently when she unleashed a string of insane tweets arguing that “homosexuality is NOT a choice” and that gay people “cannot claim you were ‘born with it'” unless they were both with both a penis and a vagina.
The original tweet, which has since been deleted, read:
Homosexuality is NOT a choice.
Unless you’re born with both a penis and a vagina, you cannot claim you were “born with it”
If you’re a man and you feel the urge to act and live like a woman, what you need is a therapist
The penis goes into the vagina.
Anything else is faux.
The original tweet received almost 4,000 retweets and over 590 replies.
Shortly thereafter, NonyeBiko followed it up with a second tweet, which has also since been deleted:
The anus wasn’t designed for arrivals but departures. Also, if you’re a man who genuinely fancies inserting your penis into your lady’s anus, I hate to break it to you but you might have some docile homosexuality tendencies.
Oh, but the bullsh*t doesn’t stop there.
She also went on to claim that “the male is biologically designed to possess sexual affinity towards the female, and vice versa,” meaning that anyone who feels differently suffers from “sensationalized psychological incongruity.”
Oh, and she said that gay people “only feel like you want to be with men because that’s what your mind is telling you,” adding that “You’d never see a male dog go to another male dog. Why? No mind to think that.”
Another tweet read:
A lot of you may not know this but scientifically, as developing embryos, we’re all female until the Y chromosome kicks in. This is also why you guys also have nipples but no use for them.
Then there’s this little gem:
Civilization has managed to make a lot of anomalies seem “okay”. That is going against science. Which is the bedrock of human civilization as we know it. The paradox.
Naturally, folks on Twitter had quite a bit say about NonyeBiko’s antigay Twitter temper tantrum:
Everything in this thread is based on assumptions and it's sad how people will mistake it for facts.. There is zero research done here and psychologists would disagree. You have no idea what kind of damage you doing

If as you claim its a psychological problem, then there must be a psychological solution for it. Apart from conversion therapies (which don't work), I hope from all what you've managed to come up with, that your solution isn't "to tell the mind to tell you something else"??

Lovely write-up dear but this lack facts all your points were tentative. I hope you read some scientific studies on this topic before you made these conclusions. Personally I feel homosexuality is both biological and psychological for some.

It's unfortunate that your PhD doesn't stop you from being homophobic, nor from effortlessly rationalizing said homophobia with nonsense mental gymnastics.

“Tirelessly promoting” tell that to a good 40% of our political system in the US and 80% of the world. It’s funny that you think gay people are an inherent danger and destructive force against humanity. If anything we help curb a rapidly growing population and adopt orphans.

But the responses don’t stop there…
I have seen a female dog getting sexually cozy with another female dog… I have seen male lions do the do same with penguins… These incidences alone invalidate this thread… What i can confidently posit is that, science clearly does not yet understand nature completely

let ?ppl ? be ?who ? they ? want ? to ? be!

It's very sad u couldn't do a little research, the very nature you are telling us to emulate has homosexuality embedded in its very fabric. Nature is not clear separate lines, but a blur and that's what y'all need to get. pic.twitter.com/F8uRsg3uDh

PhD in psychology but you don't know homosexuality isn't a disorder or "issue"??
— Baaba Quansah (@cbeebiexx) April 30, 2018
But homosexuality is seen in animals who lack cognitive capacity to comprehend any messages from anyone.again it’s universal, everywhere in the world there are homosexual people. This should demonstrate its natural for someone to have feelings for a person of the same sex?????

But this is probably our favorite response:
imagine having a Ph.D and still being this stupid. Embarrassing to say the least https://t.co/q4ccAvHM9N
