As previously noted, key elements of the GOP’s long-awaited Obamacare replacement plan have dribbled out this week, and it’s the utter mess you expected.
Lowlights of the American Health Care Act include likely knocking millions of people off their coverage, discouraging healthy people from being insured, blocking federal funds for Planned Parenthood, and allowing insurers to hike prices for older Americans up to five times more than younger folks.
Yikes.
Twitter was quick to draw comparisons between the proposed bill and the system it is designed to replace — Obamacare.
And just like that, Obamacare Vs. Trumpcare was born:

The sick thing is that the GOP KEEPS holding up Paul Ryan as some sort of intellectual genius. What really happened is that Aaron Schock was getting lots of attention and media play so Ryan tried to do the GQ thing as well, got a little attention and then was piked for VP after he submitted “The Ryan Budget”.
The problem with his budget, and…a dirty little GOP secret….the reason why the current GOP Congress hasn’t put it up for a vote yet is because it’s smoke and mirrors. IT gives a TON of tax cuts to the wealthy, and then depends on a Congress 10 years in the future to implement massive spending cuts to balance it out. No future Congress is going to take the hit for Ryans blowing up the budget with Tax cuts for his wealthy friends.
Well Ryan’s new version of Obamacare is EXACTLY THE SAME. Huge tax cuts for the wealthy, tax cuts for insurance industry CEOs, and any spending issues pushed off to a future Congress. It won’t pass, and it’s going to be the GOP Senators that will kill it.
The guy is literally a one trick pony and even that one trick is lousy.

In a 12 month period that has been very unpredictable in many ways we return to the very predictable with this nonsense. It would be very simplistic to say that the right wing are a bunch of greedy selfish millionaires. That is partly true only. Tens of millions of Americans voted for Trump – not just the rich. He told them that he would replace Obamacare an they still voted for him. The question is why? Are there just tens of millions of malcontents and maladjusted racists and homophobes? Maybe. But perhaps there is also an element of people saying that even Obamacare needed adjusting.
This, however, is something else. It is a return to the Neo-Liberal policies we saw in the Reagan/Thatcher 1980’s. Policies that were in essence a throwback to Victorian England, massive poverty and the workhouse.
How can anyone justify massive increases in military spending making health care more expensive and giving huge profits to the providers. We know that people die in the USA because they cannot afford health care. Where is the humanity?

Because places like FOX News have been telling them for years that “The Evil Left” run of course by “Jews” like Barbara Streisand and Georce Soros is evil and well….their evil.
So many people weren’t voting for any other reason but that right wing sites just kept saying the left is evil. The fact that their base was whipped up into a frenzy over Benghazi and doesn’t care about Yemen shows that they pretty much have gotten the message that “Anything your side does, is ok, but fake outrage of anything the other side does”.
The trap the GOP set for themselves is that if they repeal Obamacare, they control all three branches of govt. and can’t blame democrats when their own voters start suffering. It will be interesting to see if those voters care for their own health and well being more than they hate the fake boogeyman of “The Left” that FOX News has fed them.

They will still seek to blame Obama/Democrats anyway. They have no problem in blatantly lying – much like Goebbels did in the 1930’s. These people have absolutely no shame or principles and just typify this whole ‘post truth’ world we have moved into.
