Two Men Get Life For Gay Murders

Justice has been served! Two men will be spending the rest of their lives in prison for two separate murders.

First, we’ve got David Reid of Ontario. Reid pleaded guilty last Friday of murdering 72-year old Harley Walker. Police suspect Reid – who’s married and has a child – met Walker in an online chat room, planned on kidnapping and ransoming him, but stabbed him to death, instead.

Meanwhile, an Alabama man named Robert Holly Lofton Porter got two consecutive life sentences for his role in 2004 slaying of a gay man named Scotty Joe Weaver. Porter didn’t say anything until the end of his sentencing, when he apologized to Weaver’s family. He should have apologized to Weaver, as well.
