Undies in the underground: Guys drop trou for 2020 No Pants Subway Ride

Another year, another opportunity to get half-naked in public.

Scores of commuters took to the subways of New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and other cities across the world for the annual “No Pants Subway Ride.” The point? To show off their assets while simultaneously giving everyone an opportunity to see the latest underwear trends. And, of course, to post pictures of themselves to Instagram.

Left confused by the sight of many bare legs and cheeky pants on the Underground on Sunday? You’re not going mad, it was just the annual No Trousers Tube Ride! Hundreds of Londoners were prepared to brave the cold and strip down to their skivvies for the event which began at Chinatown. In a bid to scatter those January blues, these daring members of the public donned their best undies for the occasion and some even took part in a group boogie at Waterloo station. What began as a prank in New York back in 2002 has spread far and wide, with undergarment-wearers taking to public transport in more than 60 cities including Toronto, Berlin and Lisbon each year. Participants are always reminded to maintain some modesty and not remove any more clothes than necessary. Words: @meaghanjspencer ?
