Valentina and the cast of the live musical ‘Rent’ have a message for you on World AIDS Day

The live musical Rent airs on Fox TV Jan. 27 at 8/7c.

Set in the early 1990s and written by the late Jonathan Larson, the musical Rent is the story of New Yorkers struggling with love, lust, and making rent against the backdrop of the HIV/AIDS epidemic raging through the city and gay community. It went on to win a Tony and the Pulitzer Prize and was made into a 2005 film starring Anthony Rapp and directed by Christopher Columbus.

The live Fox Broadcasting version stars Jordan Fisher as Mark CohenBrennin Hunt as Roger Davis, Tinashe as Mimi MarquezBrandon Victor Dixon as Tom CollinsValentina as Angel Dumott SchunardVanessa Hudgens as Maureen Johnson, Kiersey Clemons as Joanne Jefferson, and Mario as Benjamin Coffin III.
