The results are (mostly) in from yesterday’s midterm elections. And so are the memes…

While the night may have not been quite the “blue wave” some Democrats were hoping for, Dems did win back the House by a healthy margin as well as several important governor races.

Plus: A record number of LGBTQ and female candidates won, a few rotten Republicans got the boot, and several states passed progressive ballot measures.

All in all, it wasn’t a bad night for Dems… or for anyone hoping to restore some semblance of sanity to our government.

Well, there was no #BlueWave tonight. ? I’m pretty devastated by all of the losses, but there were many important wins that give me hope, and at least the unabashedly greedy and self-serving @SpeakerRyan is gone now and the Dems took the House. I’ll have more to say about all of this when all of the results are in and I have time to reflect on them. In the meantime, congrats, Speaker @NancyPelosi. Now, that we've taken back the House, the orange nightmare will finally be held accountable and his reign of terror, stopped. Go get him, Mueller!
