What happens in the locker room stays in the locker room, but what happens in the dugout stays on national TV if the camera happnes to be pointed that direction.

While battling it out with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves players Ronald Acuña Jr. and Ozzie Albies took a breather off the field, sharing an adorable cuddle and tender head caress.

Aww!
But since the world is still the world, many took to Twitter to project their own self-hating, wrapped up to look like disapproval:
Dude wtf is going on there? ?

And because hope isn’t remotely dead, there was also plenty of support for the plutonic affection:
Bro the world is making people weird. That’s true brotherhood right there… #alllove

Some people really wish they had friends like Ozzie Albies and Ronald Acuña Jr. Their friendship is how every friendship should be.

This is what “man up” should mean. Don’t be afraid to be kind.

A beautiful moment between two talented young players. There was a rumor that Ronaldo Acuña Jr’s mother had passed away, but she allegedly is still alive, so the tenderness between Albies and Acuña Jr. apparently resulted from some other reason. Whatever it was, it was lovely to see.
Just a note to David Grant, who wrote “plutonic affection”; do you mean “platonic affection”? Platonic means nonsexual (from “Plato,” the philosopher); plutonic means that it’s derived from Pluto, the Roman god of the underworld, or the planet Pluto, and means of an igneous rock, or something that’s abyssal.

You just couldn’t go with I know what he means..
Kangol
@brianlange, if it’s a commenter/poster, no biggie. But Queerty is supposed to be a news and info site, so the info it posts does matter. A reader might see “plutonic” and think that’s the right word, in part based on the fact that it appears in a news article. All it would take is simply correcting one letter, which tellingly still hasn’t happened.

What the hell does Pluto have to do with this?

He’s not being a grammar police, but so many writers on this media websites don’t do their homework before posting an article. That’s what the term “fake news” is flying around now. Because bloggers are now journalists that are g qualified to be.
Roger Miles
I dont think that it is “plutonic affection”
Paco
Maybe he wasn’t feeling well. Whatever the reason, if there must even be a reason, I simply see a guy comforting his friend.
In other parts of the world, non sexual affection between men is commonplace. It is usually a sign of deep friendship. Get over it.

I think you mean “platonic love”. With an A.
Platonic. Like from Plato, the guy who wrote that true love means transcending sexual impulses in order to inspire one’s beloved to ever purer forms of virtue.
Platonic. With an A.
Platonic love.
Platonic.
By contrast … Pluto (with a U) is the god of the dead.
Either that or a cartoon dog.
So “plutonic love” would be either dead love, or else cartoon dog love. I don’t think that’s what you meant to say.
I think you meant “Platonic” love. With an A.

I believe the real question here is, “Should the photo be published by gay media at all?” If this is a glimpse into a gay relationship, the photo destroys two men who are having an intimate moment. If this is something else the gay press becomes nothing more than vicious queens destroying the notion that straight men aren’t allowed an intimate moment. Why do we do this?

What difference does it make?
Stop hating.

Plutonic? That would be radio active! It is Platonic, after a wise man from ancient Greece: Plato
