Washington University Will Not Have Its Freshman Bussed to Target To Spend Parents’ Cash On Anti-Gay Bedspreads

Washington University in St. Louis, the private research school that just received the highest LGBT-friendly rating from Campus Pride, is joining the anti-Target chorus by pulling out of Target After Hours, Thursday’s nationwide event where Target stores extend their hours and bus in local college freshman who have the chance to win fabulous prizes while sprucing up their dorms. In the long run, Target would have saved money by just throwing the $150,000 at a gay non-profit or requesting the money back from MN Forward. I’m glad they took the stand though, its been much more fun this way.
