We still don’t know much about Madonna‘s “secret project” with fashion photographer Steven Klein, but the Queen teased her third and final installment in a series of preview clips today. It doesn’t offer more of an explanation than the first two did, but at least we finally have a release date.
Madge announced the unveiling of the secret project—September 24—along with a brand new website. According to it, the project was created “to give people around the world an opportunity to answer the question: ‘What does freedom mean to you?'”
Whatever it is, it’s seriously shading ARTPOP.
But if you’re looking for something a little more relatable, sink your teeth into this epic clip of Madonna performing “Vogue” during the MDNA World Tour. The Queen released the following video today to hype the DVD release on September 10.
Now, we’re just waiting patiently for that Modoccor video. (Please, Mom?)

She’s so old and boring and old
UR007hp
You are apparently young and unimaginative…don’t worry, one day you’ll grow up, get some vision and ultimately see her significance. Hang in there; it will come.
seaguy
@Bozen: you will be old and bitter one day, oh wait your already bitter.
Caleb in SC
@Bozen: Bitchy + young = Bitter queen + 20 years = pathetic
Bozen
The Madonna Internet Defense League has members at Queerty apparently
UR007hp
You’re amusing me…please continue with your vernacular spiel. But at least do so with a tad more grammatical correctness. I don’t speak “I don’t know any better.”
Jackhoffsky
Honestly, (personal opinion) my idea of edgy starts at Fever Ray. So the idea of Madonna and Gaga being arty and such is amusing to me. Don’t get me wrong, where there is a team of designers involved the end result is going to be good. But it just doesn’t have that same… razor punch as Die Antwoord or something.
On a separate note: Maddy, dear, you can’t be thrown about like you were in the “SEX” days, okay? Osteoporosis is REAL concern with women your age. So… just be careful.
Caleb in SC
@Bozen: No, it is the Anti-World-Weary, Bitchy Young Queen Who Does Not Know Enough to Know That He Is Uneducated and Bitchy League.
Bozen
She’s a celebrity and I don’t like her. Simple.
I don’t understand the aggressive hate pointed at a complete stranger for such a mild opinion. You Madonna fans are even more extreme than Lady Gaga fans.
Caleb in SC
@Bozen: I’m definitely not a Madonna fan, but I am also not a fan of boorish comments. Seriously, you are putting her down for being “old?” With luck, you will be there too one day. And I hope you remember this comment. Enjoy your youth, bitchy young queer — it expires at 29.
UR007hp
Hey, it’s not about hating, but rather about giving credit where it’s due. Fever Ray is amazing music and visuals…Die Antwoord, on the other hand, I’m not a fan of, BUT, their talent and relevance cannot be denied. Along the same lines, Madonna doesn’t really need to try any more–Her relevance is well established. We’re all entitled to express our opinions and to defend those we respect. But when we resort to comments about getting old, we are behaving as though we’re immortal…we’re not. You, Madonna, Fever Ray, and myself will get old. Does that mean we should quit? No. So, I do apologize if I’ve offended–that’s never my intent. But I do tend to get riled up about things a person can’t change…like getting older. Give credit where it’s due: She’s still doing it-Top earning artist of 2013…check it out in Forbes. Additionally, when fans defend this way, there’s a reason…and it usually involves inspiration. Many times in this world all a person has is a little inspiration. You’re entitled to not like her. But those who do are entitled to defend her…why is that surprising? Especially side she’s inspired millions over the last three decades…PEACE
Caleb in SC
@UR007hp: Nicely said, Sir! It’s unusual to see such well reasoned comments on this site.
Bozen
@UR007hp: “But those who do are entitled to defend her…why is that surprising?”
It’s not. This is what is surprising:
Person 1: Madonna is old and boring
Responses:
-You are apparently young and unimaginative
-one day you’ll grow up
-you will be old and bitter one day, oh wait your already bitter
-Bitchy + young = Bitter queen + 20 years = pathetic
-I don’t speak “I don’t know any better.”
-Anti-World-Weary, Bitchy Young Queen Who Does Not Know Enough to Know That He Is Uneducated and Bitchy League.
-Enjoy your youth, bitchy young queer
There’s a profound difference in defending someone/something and belittling someone/something.
Caleb in SC
@Bozen: Which is exactly what you did! LOL! You can dish it out, but can’t take it. You just proved your own point!!!
BlogZilla
It just looks like drama she makes herself cause Hollywood didn’t want her; and more importantly the movie buying public didn’t want her as a screen actress.
Caleb in SC
@BlogZilla: can’t argue with you there.
BlogZilla
@Bozen: And what do you do or what have you done in your life that is the least bit interesting or exciting as what Madonna has done? You twinks of today make me sick – so narrow and shallow..
Bozen
@Caleb in SC: “You can dish it out, but can’t take it”
What did I dish?
UR007hp
Geez…You are correct, AND I offered an apology, along with an explanation…Did you miss that part? Do you have a retort, an explanation? If it’s a no on both of these counts, then our discussion has become pointless and thus has ended. Again-Peace.
Caleb in SC
@BlogZilla: Can’t argue with you there.
BlogZilla
The only thing that offends me about Madonna is her metaphysical and political rants wrapped in clairvoyance and her incessant religious mockery and blasphemy.
Why not just sing with your pointy boobs and do your business ventures but shut up with the rest, unless you’re going to make a career switch to a politician?
Caleb in SC
@Bozen: You are throwing unnecessary shade and attitude at Madonna, who I am so luke warm about. But then get pissy when every@Bozen: one calls you out about it. Get over yourself. BlogZilla is correct, what the f@#$ have you ever done?
Bozen
@Caleb in SC: I think she’s boring and old. It’s just an opinion. I’m not pissy, I’m surprised about the maturity of some of the posters. This feels more like 4chan right now than Queerty.
And what I do in my life doesn’t have to be interesting or exciting to anyone but me. Which is, fortunately.
Caleb in SC
@Bozen: Here’s what pisses off older gay guys — young twinks that are more interested in building a better dance club than advancing gay rights. People like you have piggy-backed on our willingness to put ourselves out there at great cost — emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Then you have the effing balls to call people “old.” Again, what have you done to make yourself such a world-weary expert on all that is fashionable and relevant?
Caleb in SC
@Bozen: Crickets . . . I get it. Nothing.
Bozen
@Caleb in SC:
“young twinks”
-not young, not a twink
“more interested in building a better dance club than advancing gay rights”
-I don’t see how what I said correlates with any of this. I’m not sure I even know what a “dance club” is.
“People like you have piggy-backed on our willingness to put ourselves out there at great cost”
-I’m not sure what you mean by this, so I won’t respond.
“you have the effing balls to call people “old.””
-Again, all I said was Madonna was old and boring.
“what have you done to make yourself such a world-weary expert on all that is fashionable and relevant?”
-Nothing. I actively shun things that are considered to be “fashionable” and “relevant” because 99.99% of the time they’re only “fashionable” and “relevant” to the LCD. Most pop culture is down right embarrassing in my opinion.
Are you really that offended by what I said or are you just having a bad day dude?
Caleb in SC
@Bozen: What have you ever accomplished that allows you to pass judgment on other people? Answer the question.
Caleb in SC
@Bozen: Not a bad day — just tired of attitude.
Bozen
I said she’s old and boring.
Old – undisputed fact.
Boring – subjective opinion
Caleb in SC
Again, what have you ever accomplished that allows you to pass judgment? Let me guess, you are probably in high school? You certainly argue that way.
BlogZilla
@Bozen. And how old are you, if you dare to answer?
Bozen
@Caleb in SC: Ok you got me! I am a freshman twink in High School who loves dance clubs. I don’t care about gay rights and am more interested in getting new beats. I pass judgement on everything without giving it any forethought, -especially- Madonna. I have balls of steel and I say things like “Madonna is old” and “McDonald’s tastes bad and is bad for you” just to piss people off. I piggy back on the older generation intentionally and carelessly. I have done nothing with my life except straighten my hair and drink amaretto sours.
You win! Feel better?
Caleb in SC
@Bozen: @BlogZilla: Well, Bozen, I am apparently not the only one offended by your comments. How old are you?
Bozen
@BlogZilla: 24. Old enough to know this has gone on long enough. Getting this offended by a mild comment and jumping to conclusions and making assumptions is too much for me.
I’ve never seen this much crazy on a Queerty board before. Who knows, maybe I’ve been trolled for the past few hours.
Really_000
I have never really been a Madonna fan-but come on guys she is an ICON but more closely a LEGEND. Before it was cool for any entertainer (hint Gaga) to openly celebrate gayness it was Madonna-who was bold and proud to do so. If anyone has ever seen Blonde Ambition you cannot help but recognize it is an incredible piece of work-and nothing like it since. Respect where respect is due.
afrolito
Madonna is neither old or boring, but calling her that has become pretty boring and cliche at this point. Respect the Queen, because that is what she is.
MB
If you don’t like her, then why don’t you just fuck off?
These comments are what is “old and boring”.
For christ’s sake, this is like reading a fucking note being passed around an elementary school class.
Bitter, fucking bitter, bitter bitches.
Dxley
Oh My Fucking Gawd. The old queens are attacking a kid who’s obviously smarter than they are. Y’all motherfuckers need to get laid and stop bitching. Truth be told: Madonna is old. It’s not an insult, it’s a fact. You guys always seem to redefine stupidity and take it to a whole new level…Lonely assholes!!!!
Dxley
I don’t even know if I should call him a kid, because I’m only a year older than him. Bozen, you spoke the truth. The whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Don’t worry, you’ll get used to these old, sad queers who take offence to every single thing.
krystalkleer
@Bozen: you must be looking in the mirror deary…don’t be so hard on yerself! http://getoffmydress.blogspot.com/2013/09/neurotica.html
BitterOldQueen
Alejandro.
Bozen
@krystalkleer: I tried to get this but I think it’s over my head
Rafael
@Bozen: You may not be old, but staying up all night responding to blog comments… that would make you kind of boring.
Matt G
Jesus you people are horrid.
Madonna *is* old, but she’s still a great performer and the Queen of pop despite that. She’s been one to come through despite the accusations lauded against her (being a woman, too headstrong, too sexual, too preachy, satan worshipping witch from Detroit, etc).
I’m interested to see what this “Secret Project” really is- A movie? Website? Wristband campaign for queer homeless youth? Is she activating her sleeper cells of gay ninjas in eastern europe to combat the rising tide of fascism?
heatstroke1981
So, it’s not at all a bad thing to have a few years behind you, I agree. So why take offense and soil yourself for someone being called old? Madonna has been called every name under the sun, her being called old is quite tame. I really don’t think she gives a sh*t, ifyaknowwhatimean…..
Nixter
@Really_000: Correction: The Who’s That Girl world tour was stunning and paved the way for her future(fantastic) concerts. Blond Ambition was certainly more theatrical and commercial and the one that most people remember.
