While the blogosphere is still buzzing about Chaz Bono joining Dancing With The Stars, some slightly less exciting reality-competition casting has been announced: On the new season of The Amazing Race, debuting September 25, domestic partners Ron Zeitz and Bill Smith will be traipsing all over the globe in hopes of completing the trek ahead of competitors like Survivor winners Ethan Zohn and Jenna Morasca, Olympic snowboarders Andy Finch and Tommy Czeschin and former NFL player Marcus Pollard.
Its hardly the first time TAR has welcomed LGBT contestants but Ron and Bill have been together 13 years (you can tell they’re starting to look alike) and are both flight attendants, which should give them a leg up when it comes to globetrotting.
Says Zeitz on his CBS profile,”Airports are my second home!”
The Amazing Race returns to CBS September 25 at 8pm

Most excellent! Love The Amazing Race and missed seeing openly gay contestants.

Do they always wear matchy-matchy twin ensembles? Let’s hope the Race doesn’t take them to the Caribbean, especially Jamaica.

How do their friends tell them apart? It’s like looking at a pair of twins.
