We’re sort of in love with Rep. Barney Frank right now, if only for the way he approaches an interview from Bill O’Reilly. Frank, who’s known to blow up at reporters, doesn’t just sit down with O’Reilly — he lounges. By body language cues alone, it’s clear Frank knows he doesn’t have to be there, and that he’s the one doing O’Reilly the favor, given we’ve been down this road before.
If you want to watch these two tussle, start the clip from the beginning. If you want only the DOMA brief coverage, cue to 3:50.

Nice to see Frank talk about cutting some ridiculous spending such as spending 100s of billions to send a man to mars. Also, I still don’t know if I agree with him on the DOJ DOMA defense, but I can see where Obama is coming from. As others have said, Bush did not defend acts he felt were unconstitutional, but Obama, unlike Bush, believes that all aspects of this country should be heard not just his own narrow minded view.

What I find really disturbing is the fact that Frank can so nonchalantly talk about just trimming off a trillion dollars in wasteful spending to pay for healthcare like it’s no big deal. Why the fuck were the taxpayers coughing up a TRILLION FUCKING DOLLARS for wasteful spending in the first place ?

I can’t stand Frank. Sure, maybe he’s trying to act like he’s doing O’Reilly a favor by being there, but you shouldn’t appear on national TV looking like he does.

@Shannon: I agree. I think that’s what Obama’s administration is trying to find out and get rid of. Ho they will do that, I have no idea.
I love how O’Reilly gets uncomfortable when he agrees with Frank on that issue. It’s like the guy fell like a fish out of water when there is no argument.
