Watch “Beaches” Performed By This Gay Comic In Less Than Four Minutes

Some queens will look for any reason to show off their Bette Midler impersonations. Add out comic performer Micah McCain to the list. The triple-threat entertainer takes aim at the gay-worshipped 1988 Midler-Barbara Hershey tearjerker Beaches and offers his singular take on the film’s highlights — except, oddly, it’s famous theme song “The Wind Beneath My Wings” — in less than four minutes. Brava!

I’ve never understood the fascination with this film by a lot if gay men but then again to each their own.

@Nowuvedoneit: The fascination is with Bette Midler. The fascination with Beaches merely comes by default. She started her career playing in NYC gay bathhouses and has been a vocal supporter of the community for years. I like the film. I love her.

well, I’ve never seen beaches and now I most certainly never want to.

Good job not rising above cliche and stereotyping, gay comic.

If you just pulled a G.G. Allin in the middle of it, then maybe you’d have something.

    I rather watch the movie….

The movie was great! Just a sentimental movie about how friendships don’t have to die just because people grow apart.
