The gay short film Burger depicts the interactions between gay diners at a burger joint in the U.K., and was just honored with the Special Jury Award for Direction and Ensemble Acting at the Sundance Film Festival.
Iris Prize Chair Andrew Pierce lauded director Magnus Mork as a “huge talent,” and the awards jury found it an “uncanny observation of complex social dynamics.”
While it’s currently making the big screen rounds at Sundance, it is available to watch now on YouTube until Sunday, January 26th.

So this really isn’t a “gay” film. The gayness is only one of five things going on in the film. It is a great ensemble piece without being “ensemble” in the strictest since of the word. They work in different directions, but in unison. It’s cute too.
Anyway, thanks for sharing.

A brilliant movie. You think it’s going to turn into a conventional drinking fuels homophobia and violence, but instead it ends on a high note that shows creativity to social challenges.
