Looks like Obama’s former Chief of Staff has evolved faster than his former boss. Rahm Emanuel used to get all shy when it came to addressing gay marriage even conversationally. Maybe it’s a White House protocol not to mention the M-word.
Stepping up his game to match the equally-dashing Andrew Cuomo, Emanuel, now-Mayor of Chicago, hopes Illinois will follow New York and legalize gay marriage. He talked to CNN’s Wolf Blitzer about the work he did to pass civil unions in the state and how he foresees a move in the direction of same-sex — here comes that word again! — marriage.
Interestingly enough, the follow up question during the CNN segment was about Emanuel’s body. The foxy mayor flashed a devilish grin as he revealed that he worked out 7 days a week! No shirtless photos are available to prove his claim, though. And trust us, we searched.

She said, he said – exactly who said he was the adviser? Got credible sources? Or is it imaginary arts and crafts time for those with Obama issues.
And who said Obama has thrown the LGBT community under any bus at all? Seems to me he has helped gay people make some significant strides in the last couple of years. Or, at the very least, he hasn’t tried to retard any advances made.

However it’s pretty evident most politicians have sexual shenanigans going on in the background.
Worst it’s clear how the 2party system pits people against each other over hot button ideology issues to distract from the enslavement that occurs.

Sorry, but thats where your agenda was exposed.
The White House specifically said there would be NO DADT repeal at that time, however the community went up in arms, and then Pelosi FORCED the repeal down the White House’s throat. Even so, Obama inserted additional hurdles to eventual repeal.
The White House DOJ was also defending DOMA comparing gay couples to incest etc… when told to stop defending it, the White House lied and said that the President HAD to defned all laws. It was pointed out that most ex presidents had not only chosen not to defend certain laws, but had even joined in lawsuits against certain federal laws they found unconstitutional. Additionally, Gay donations dropped significantly. Finally the DOJ, after it’s lies were exposed, decided to stop defending the law that they claimed the HAD to defend.
So Obama happened to be president when these things happened, but they were forced upon him. Granted he eventually signed the Repeal which is great, but lets not pretend the guy would have done anything without massive pressure.

I’m hardly an O-bot. I believe there is a lot more work that needs to be done, and prodding for more action is fair game. However, unlike you, I’m not willing to turn a blind and dismissive eye to accomplishments made along the way.
