As part of a YouTube prank, a camera man followed around “Conchita Wurst” and her body guard as she walked around the streets of Madrid, Spain. As they made their way through the crowds a mob of fans started chasing after her to take pictures, record video and simply witness the spectacle.
We feel bad for the folks who thought it was really her, especially because they don’t tell the the trust (at least not in the video). There must have been dozens of photos and videos upload to social networking sites with people commenting, “Um… that’s not the real Conchita…”
One girl even tells the impersonator, “I voted for you.” This, of course, is referring to her win at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, in which Spain sent their own competitor who ended up taking tenth place. We’re not really sure, however, how many of these people actually watch Eurovision this year…. The impersonator, although she has the full beard and black hair, doesn’t overwhelmingly look like the real Conchita.
