Dylan Sprouse is giving us major hair jealousy in Daddy, a just-released short film from young filmmaker Christian Coppola, who yes, is one of those “Coppolas,” but not an immediate family member of Francis and Sofia.
“I’m not close enough to get invited for Thanksgiving dinner,” he told Variety.
The former Suite Life of Zack and Cody star also rocks a becoming pink dress, playing a male escort hired to stand in as an older man’s (Ron Rifkin) deceased wife on their wedding anniversary.

The short film “subverts power dynamics, exploring love, desire, seduction, and death,” according to a recent interview with Sprouse and Coppola.

Yes WATCH. This is a beautiful, kind movie. All 4 actors are at their very best. It is about hearts and spirits. Truly a gift. Watch it, 18 minutes, worth your time.

Simply beautiful

That sure is a long way from Disney !! It was beautiful. The dance scene actually brought a tear to my eye, in a good way.

As stated previously what a charming and kind vignette old a film. On a side note could the young man be any more handsome?

Wow. Incredible. I’m not as old as that guy, but would love to find a young guy like that who could at least act like he was attracted to me, even if for a night. Ah, to at least feel loved again. 🙂

Beautiful, touching story of human connection….but why do I think the older man kills himself and is found dead in the morning….been watching too many gay themed movies????
walterhanson
contrary…i think this brought him back to life!
MGinNC
I think I agree with “walterhanson” about bringing him back to life. It sure would me! 🙂

I appreciate your differing perspective. Thank you.

I was expecting the same thing Tim. Or we could imagine that the next day, they got together for breakfast or lunch and discussed moving in together and being a transgenerational couple and to hell with what society thinks! Dylan’s character seemed like he was more than just playing the role. He genuinely cared and enjoyed himself, hence the kiss, This is the best thing I’ve seen Mr. Rifkin do since he was Sally Field’s brother on Brothers and Sisters. Thanks Queerty for bringing it to our attention.

Heartbreaking but I understand the longing. The want. Harsh reality. What a triumph!

Bravo.

That was a beautiful watch. Made me sad and happy at the same time. Had to call my mom after watching it knowing how much she misses my dad. And what will happen to me if my husband dies. So touching.
