Australian born rapper Iggy Azalea is a like a cross between Paris Hilton and Lil Kim. As if she wasn’t already working hard enough at becoming a queer icon by performing at a slew of gay bars around the world, her newest video, “Change Your Life” featuring T.I., has the big booty’ed queen channeling Nomi Malone.
The video, essentially one long tribute to camp classic Showgirls, is complete with choreographed semi-nude dance routines and neon drenched vehicular destruction, and while there is no epileptic orgasm, there is even a nod to the infamous pool scene. Outfits in the video include a see through cowboy hat, a giant feathered headpiece, see through dresses, and a handful of artfully colorful pasties.
The song, which has Miss Azalea skillfully spitting over a trendy dubstep-ish drum beat while reclining on a bed next to a baby tiger, is from her forthcoming album The New Classic, set to debut this month. Following that, she will be opening for Beyoncé on the Australian leg of Queen B’s Mrs. Carter World Show Tour.
