GMA host Robin Roberts shocked no one when she came out as a lesbian on her Facebook page last month.
“I am grateful for my entire family, my long time girlfriend, Amber, and friends as we prepare to celebrate a glorious new year together,” Roberts wrote.
This morning, Roberts elaborated on this elusive Amber character, telling her GMA co-hosts: “I have never been happier or healthier than I am right now and my year-end post was just full of gratitude and just telling everyone all that I’m grateful for, including my girlfriend Amber who really loved me through a difficult year.”
According to People magazine, Roberts and her girlfriend Amber Laign have been together for 10 years. Laign is a licensed massage therapist from the San Francisco Bay area. The women are 14 years apart. Anyone who knows us, knows we’re all for those May-December relationships. Cheers to the happy couple!

To me, Amber Laign looks like a part-time lesbian. I could be wrong but that is my impression.
Part-time lesbians are not helpful to the GLBT cause at all.

I’d like to point out that part-time lesbian syndrome is common. Remember Anne Heche? Women can be part-time because they don’t need to be aroused to take part in sexual activity. They can switch from one position to another depending on what’s in it for them.

You know exactly what I mean by “part-time lesbians”.
Generally, they are women who use their sexuality as a ploy. They often consist of women who are in relationships with men but who will make out with women for reasons to do with money. Think of the female porn performers.
They will also put out for men for the sole purpose of having a baby. Lesbians are known to have sex with men for the sole purpose of having a baby.
Do we really need these women in the GLBT community? I say a big fat NO.

I’d heard Robin likes the young blondes, and this girl looks exactly as I pictured her. Kinda Carrie Underwood-ish. Bet those massage therapy hands come in handy. =)
