Writer/director: David Au’s Eat With Me isn’t coming to theaters just yet—in fact it’s just started filming this month. But this lengthy trailer has definitely whetted our appetite.
Leaving her troubled marriage behind, Chinese-American mom Emma comes to stay with her grown son, Elliot, and soon realizes she’s probably not going to get a daughter-in-law. As Emma adjusts to accepting her son’s sexuality, Elliot navigates the choppy waters of the gay dating scene and tries to figure out if true love can spring from an anonymous hookup.
Teddy Chen Culver, who plays Elliot, discusses Eat With Me in the red-carpet interview below.
How about we take this to the next level?

By the time they complete filming, editing and finding a distributor, it might be a couple of years down the line. Where do I buy advance tickets? Until then, I’ve downloaded a picture of a shirtless Teddy Chen Culver. The guy is certainly not hard on the eyes!
