With but a shrug of her shoulders, Princess Anne has become Twitter’s hero of the day, or hour, or however long it takes for something else minorly cathartic to happen.
The 69-year-old daughter of Queen Elizabeth II was filmed opting out of a royal receiving line for Donald and Melania Trump at Buckingham Palace after the first day of the NATO summit in London. The queen appears to shoot Anne a disapproving look, to which the princess shrugs and stays put.
That was enough to get Anne to trend on Twitter, with folks praising her as both a “legend” and a “mood.” That might be pushing it.
Judge for yourself whether the bar needs to be raised for either title:

"Why is 'Princess Anne' trending?", I asked myself.
Reader, I was not disappointed.
Princess Anne has long been the "not putting up with your shit" member of the Royal Family.
Her reactions to The Orange Buffoon were bound to be shareworthy. #PrincessAnne
