Queerty reader and filmmaker Mike Buonaiuto sent us this video he produced with the UK’s Coalition For Equal Marriage, a grassroots nonprofit started by partners Conor Marron and James Lattimore.
“One day I would like to marry my partner of almost 5 years,” says Buonaiuto. “And the celebration of our commitment should mean no more or less than any other straight couple. I made the film to promote change and also inspire others to use their creativity to support equality.”
We know the clip is supposed to promote marriage equality but with hotties James Knight and Lew Smart getting all romantic it couldeasily be an army recruitment film!

How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

I hate it that people can’t manage to fly the Union Flag the right way up. All the Union Flags in this film are upside down!
Sorry
Ugh, I hate to be the one to ruin it but I’m surprised that no one’s said this already: Is there a corresponding commercial for women? Can women serve in the military in Britain? I get the play on words but whats up with the gender reinforcement? Just one time I’d like for the masculine role to receive the ring. I know these people studied media studies, change up the tropes. That said…it was cute, mostly cause they were cute/mostly the civvy/whatever.
