WATCH: Santa’s Elves Redecorate An AirBaltic Plane For the Holidays

We’d be a little nervous about staging an unannounced lights show on an airport runway, but we guess that’s how they roll at Riga International Aiport in Latvia, where AirBaltic treated people waiting for their flights to a charming holiday makeover of a passenger jet by some of Santa’s helpers. Did those elves get a thorough body scan and pat down?

Priecigus Ziemassvetkus! (That’s “Merry Christmas” in Latvian—we hope!)

Why was that in English if it was in Latvia?

Yeah, that’s basically right, but it looks like you have question marks where you should have letters with diacritical marks:

      “Priec?gus Ziemassv?tkus”

Damn. Well, it looks like Queerty doesn’t support Latvian letters. :(

You can see the way it should look here: http://www.omniglot.com/language/phrases/latvian.php
