We’ve been jonzing for some new Scissor Sister Jams since Night Work dropped in 2010, but Jake Shears has been busy working on the Tales of the City musical and, well, life gets in the way.
Our prayers have been answered, though with “Shady Love,” the new debut single off their as-yet-unnamed fourth album. Featuring vocals from rapper Azealia Banks—as well as Shears and David Geffen boytoy Jeremy Lingvall as “Krystal Pepsy”—it’s kind of a departure for the group. More Williamsburg electroclash meets Kingston dancehall than their usual glam-rock cocktail.

The song is fun… not sure what to make of the video. Cute, maybe.

Love SS… but if this is a sign of what is to come….. not sure I will be buying or going to gigs!

The only this worse than the kiddie porn video is the song itself.
Rebecca Black, all is forgiven, you no longer sing the worst pop song of the century.

Man, I wonder if Cazwell is more pissed or flattered? It’s catchy & I wish the band well, but it’s a bit weird that a sing this simple required enlisting 2 extra writers.

I think the SS are being told that they need a US hit. This could easily be it. Which says a lot bout the state of current pop music today.
