Do ask do tell

WATCH: US soldiers get down to Todrick Hall’s ‘Nails Hair Hips Heels’ in viral video

Two Todrick Hall fans served serious active service member realness when they uploaded a dance video tribute — camo and choreo and all — to Hall’s new song, “Nails Hair Hips Heels.”

In fact it was Hall who kicked the whole thing off when he challenged followers on social media to show what they’ve got with the #NHHHchallenge.

That’s when Clifford Louis General, a US Army Sergeant, and his friend Trevon, a Specialist, got down to business.

General, who is openly gay, told GSN:

“[The video] blew me away after watching it the first time. I am a big fan of Todrick Hall and we both love to dance and figured what’s stopping us from hopping on the bandwagon. Maybe someone would notice and just our luck Todrick, and many others did.”

Hall re-shared the video, writing:

“Serving for your CUNTRY HUNTY! Yes GAWD. I’m Todrick Hall and I APPROVE THIS MESSAGE.”

Trevon, who identifies as straight, added to GSN:

“Me and [Clifford] are both dancers so it wasn’t too hard picking up the choreo. This is everyday life for us as we are both very unique entertainers.”

Out actor Matt Bomer was among the many impressed viewers. He wrote:

“This made all my Pride month dreams come true!”

And Billy Porter said it all without words:

Another commenter, bklyn_lady, had a powerful personal response to the video:

“I’m loving every second of this video. As a veteran I served under dont ask dont tell and I never had the chance to serve my country openly as a lesbian in the 9 year. It’s an absolute blessing to see this happen”

Hall has been sharing other videos as well, including one from cheerleader Napoleon Jinnies that took our breath away earlier this week:
