I don’t have a vested interest in Wendy Williams. I wouldn’t call myself a fan–I’ve only watched her show a couple of times. But I have to come to her defense. I would NOT disrespect someone (especially a woman) simply because of how they look (differently from you I’m assuming). Don’t you see that this is the same level of hate and disrespect that is often directed at gays? SMH. With respect, I hope eventually one day you’ll come to your senses and treat those who are different with the same level of respect you yourself deserve.

I just don’t understand why someone who is not a member of the LGBT community would waste his time coming to a website like this, day in and day out. If this is taking a stand against “the gays” — leaving hateful Internet comments — that’s sad. It’s just so petty, so small, so ineffectual. I guess it would make more sense if the person was gay, closeted, and had a huge curiosity in Cheyenne Jackson and Tom Daley, but otherwise, a complete waste of time.

Wendy Williams is, for all purposes for me at least, a drag queen. This is also a good example of how people who aren’t queer will be the victims of homophobia or intolerance of atypical gender/sex match… Wendy is a woman who could easily be a very buth/bull chick based on her body and physical makeup but has instead decided to go super-fem and she has gotten clocked for it her whole life.

LOVE Wendy and happy she has found major success. She ruled the airwaves of New York City radio. I do miss her show but it’s great seeing her career move to new heights. And, she has always been an ardent ally.
