Basketball star Mo Rocca broke the news earlier today: “John Paul Stevens retiring. Obama to appoint Ellen as newest judge.” And what will the Supreme Court look like once she gets past her Senate confirmation hearings?
• “I gotta dissent from the other judges. Your case is amazing, just terrific”
• “I’m so impressed by this docket. Tort Reform, Campaign Finance, Redistricting. Ur all great issues”
• “Try to find some loopholes in the law. Shake things up a bit. Be less predictible.”
• “I would’ve chosen a different stand on Torture. But you look great”

If you want my opinion, this is why Oprah is retiring… Supreme Court Justice Oprah…

Applause, applause for both the Ellen and Oprah fantasies! :- )
Our second “Big O” has already thrown a bone to women and Hispanics by appointing Sotomayer so look for a African American to get the nod [as one should].
But O will NEVER appoint a gay man or lesbian like the alleged public closet case Elena Kagan whom the GOBs [Gay Obambots] said he was going to nominate last time [to join the out gay Cabinet member and out gay Secretary of the Navy].
And given Kagan sold her soul to be his Solicitor General [defending DADT to the Supremes last spring after years of saying it was indefensible when she was Dean of Harvard’s Law School, even joining in a lawsuit against the government to allow her to continue to ban military recruiters], who should WANT him to nominate her?

Now that we have a wise latina woman, I think Obama needs to nominate a Thai ladyboy in order to ensure that the Asian and transgender communities are represented in the Court.

I would really like to see the President nominate Michelle Obama to the supreme court.
Let’s see the run down:
1. She’s a black woman, we’ve never had that before on the supreme court.
2. She’s a lawyer by profession, so there’s your legal experience.
3. She appears to be liberal and the President knows her very well, so there won’t be any surprise votes once she’s on the court.
4. She has real life experiences having worked in the private sector and she practically raised Malia and Sasha on her own while Obama was a senator (there’s your compassion).
5. She’s young and will most likely still be on the court when I retire (over 3 decades from now).
5. Jill Biden is more than capable of taking over the whole childhood obesity fight.
There is no better way for Obama to put a stamp on American’s lives than to have his better half on the court long after he is gone..:P

@tjr101: She may be a homophobe just like her husband???
delurker again
@InExile: lol screw you. hillary will never be president.

I Agree with “tjr101”

@InExile: It’s not fair to call him homophobic. Simply president doesn’t mean that you can do what you would like to do. He needs Congress to work with him so why didn’t you call Congress homophobic? The U.S. Senate seems to be the big problem. The House of Reprentatives seems to have a more sense when it comes to issues in general than the upper house.

It would be really nice to have a gay or lesbian justice. Ideally also a military vet with adopted kids and a long-term relationship, and only about 40 years old.

What happens? That is a ridiculous and absurd question. Our judges are not in popularity contests and should not be compared to pop head entities like Ellen. American civic society is lost when it becomes a part of the Hollywood star fucker fantasy. I’m kind of ashamed at how often I see these scenarios. Thomas Jefferson is rolling in his grave.

To everyone that wants judges that they “like”
Perhaps our legal system is the one place where mob rule should not occur?
Get a grip people. We’re all equal under the law but this fascination with symbolic representation is infantile and very ignorant.
I hope you get that.
