who is Vernon Vanderbilt and why should I care what he thinks?
No seriously, I mean, I understand what he means but why is this front page? Is queerty going meta? If I wanted to read queerty comments, I would. We don’t need queerty articles about queerty comments. Come on now.
Oh and I googled him and apparently he’s a gay pro wrestler. cool
Tom
Vernon, you had me until you went off the cliff after you said “I am f*cking enraged.” You should have stopped there, bud. Anyway, you have hit the nail on the head with your first thought. While I will not vote for a generic Republican for President, if Mayor Bloomberg ran, I’d vote for him over Obumma. I say it’s time to vote for the Green Party or some other 3rd party that believes in GLBT rights/equality. We need to now talk to friends/family outside our community and let them know we’re pissed. If any of you live in a metro area with a pride parade coming up in a couple weeks…be loud and be heard!

Nice one, vernon.

Merciful Zeus. I go off on an angry rant in the middle of the night after a long and sleep-deprived day and this is the comment people pay attention to? If I had known I wasn’t going to be ignored I’d have been a bit more eloquent, I guess. Oh well…them’s the breaks.
@âŚ: He’s not actually a gay pro wrestler. He’s a fictional gay pro wrestler from an online RPG I used to participate in, and has become my default online alter-ego. He was almost a real pro wrestler, when I was offered a job with a local fed to play the character live, but then they folded and, naturally, that didn’t happen.
@Tom: Yeah, I know. Like I said, I was tired and when I read the brief I was pissed. I’m still pissed, but I’m rested enough now to put a coherent thought together. I’m totally with you on the third party biz though.
Anyway, I’m not apologizing for anything I said in that post, because I was being honest about my feelings as I wrote it. I still feel exactly the same way. I’m just a little bewildered that it was given a headline of its own.

@TANK: Thanky Tanky. This is just surreal.

I knew Obama was going down the wrong road when I spoke to my 70 year old christian mother and she was pissed at Obama’s invitation to Rick Warren to give the invocation at his inauguration. I am no longer surprised at his level of hypocrisy I feel like a condom on prom night used and then tossed aside.

@vernonvanderbilt:
For a moment, Queerty had me. I thought you had copied and pasted this Queerty headliner in your angry rebutal..and added your “embellishments” for good measure when in reality, it was the other way around. LOL
I always said that you were one hell of a writer…and I still stand by my words. đ

@schlukitz: Thank you, Schlukitz. I feel weird commenting on a post like this, so I’ll stick with that for now.
Prof. Donald Gaudard
Did any of you notice that the brief filed by the DOJ in the Smelt case in California was written by a Bush holdover in the DOJ who is a MORMON!!
What the fuck is Obama up to? Having a Mormon write a brief to challenge the Defense of Marriage Act!! Are there no bounds for this man???
vernonvanderbilt
@Prof. Donald Gaudard: Believe me, I sure as hell noticed that. And yet there are still queer people out there who will blindly defend this. How much more is it going to take, I wonder?
Frandley
(Jerry) Brown’s willingness to fight a state law that has been upheld by the state’s highest court contrasted sharply with President Obama’s decision this week to oppose a federal challenge to the U.S. Defense of Marriage Act brought in Orange County.

I am fucking enraged.
I’m done. If I could take back my vote for that piece of shit, I would in a heartbeat. Seriously, fuck Barack Obama and fuck his piddly-ass “hope and change” bullshit. Barack Obama can lick my goddamned asshole. If he doesn’t make a serious turnaround and get some tangible shit done before 2012, not to mention offer the GLBT community a public apology for being a dick, I am so going third party. Hell will freeze over before I ever vote republican, but I’ll go with the Greens or the Socialists or the Free Carrots for Everyone parties.
Fuck him. Just fuck him, fuck his wife, fuck her sleeveless dresses, fuck their spawn, fuck the fucking dog, fuck ’em all. If he wants to spit on us and shove us into a hole while kissing Muslim ass all the live-long day, then he can get another four years without any help from me.
Fucker.
