When “Playing Straight” Goes Hilariously Wrong

Some fantastic straight actors have played dynamic, well-rounded gay characters, and vice versa.

And hey, some fantastic gay actors have played equally successful gay characters — it happens.

But despite research that suggests audiences don’t have much trouble believing a gay actor in a straight role, not every role is suited for every actor’s, shall we say, disposition.
