Now that defamed designer John Galliano has been fired from Christian Dior and is in anti-semetic rehab or something, rumor is that Marc Jacobs is considering leaving Louis Vuitton to take over Dior. If hired, Jacobs would be the first non-European and the first American to design for the iconic fashion house. Meanwhile, the rest of us will have to keep representing for the House of LaBeija and the House of Xtravaganza.

The word is “semitic,” as in “semite.” Not “semetic.”

Marc Jacobs wouldn’t leave Louis Vuitton now. He has helmed that ship into the mega lifestyle brand it is today instead of just tacky purses. If he were to do anything, he might do both.
Karl Lagerfeld does Chanel and Fendi and probably a few hundred other things.
I wouldn’t put it past Mr. Jacobs to get both hands dirty in the fashion world.
