The body of Wilmer Alvarado, a gay HIV and youth activist in Honduras’ capital Tegucigalpa, was found in his home 24 hours after his murder. His apartment had been ransacked and “his body had evidence of multiple blows, apparently from being thrown against the walls of the apartment.”

The government in Honduras has a strong ally in the United States. If gays really have a “fierce advocate” in President Obama, perhaps he will let them know how awful this is. But I’m not holding my breath.
