This is a red flag if ever there was a red flag.
A woman, 24, has taken to Reddit to seek advice about her relationship, explaining the uncomfortable position she’s in after using one of his laptops to print a document.
She writes that her boyfriend, 24, is close friends with her younger brother, 20, as they share an interest in fitness and regularly go to the gym together.
Yesterday I was home alone and my bf was at work. I needed to print something out but my laptop wasn’t working at all. My bf has several laptops and there’s one in particular he never uses. At least I’ve never seen him use it. I thought it was some dusty old thing. I grabbed it and it was NOT shut down properly. It took me straight to the photo albums …..and there were HUNDREDS of pics of my brother saved. Most were pulled from his social media accounts but there were also pics of him from his rugby team’s website.
And it gets even weirder:
This isn’t even the worst. There was an album that only consisted of creep shots and videos. Pics of him sleeping and even videos of him getting changed. You could clearly see in the vids that he wasn’t aware of being recorded.
She finishes her post with a plea for advice:
I’m confused, disgusted and shocked. What the hell is going on? When he came back from work I just went straight to sleep, I couldn’t even face him. I honestly can’t think of a good reason he would do this. I mean straight guys don’t usually do this, right? I don’t know if I should even confront him about it? Should I ask what this whole thing is about??
Short answer: run.
Many commenters took her at her word and tried to help contexualize.
The most up-voted advice lays it out fairly plainly:
It’s not just that your boyfriend is sexually attracted to your brother but that he’s clearly obsessive. I’m a single guy and I will look at facebook pictures of my crush but I don’t save them to my computer. That’s super creepy. And him taking pictures of your brother sleeping sounds criminal. This is a lot worse than your boyfriend being secretly gay.
She later commented:
It’s weird because I never even suspected that he has a thing for my brother? I would’ve noticed something like that. I honestly can’t believe it.
So far the woman hasn’t been back to update the story, despite pleas like this one:
Did we really not get a decent update on this? I invested too much time and phone battery reading this for it to end with no resolution.
But we’ll be checking back to see!
Alton
I have GOT to see this brother.
Mick406
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I thought the same thing . . . like . . . this younger brother must be smokin’ hot!!! Need to see his pictures . . .
djmcgamester
Yeah, this is creepy. That said, there’s no way the laptop was not “shut down properly” and took her right to the photo album. She was snooping. Turns out it was lucky for her and she can end that relationship.
Larry
Why is male on male an obsession and male on female a crush?
startenout
If it’s literally hundreds of stalker photos saved in a file, that’s an obsession. Doesn’t matter if it’s of his girlfriend’s brother, sister, mother, uncle, whatever.
rray63
Larry, it’s one of those double standards we are not supposed to ask about, if we do we are called all sorts of names.
Crystix
Are we reading the same story, Larry? In what world is creepin on a woman, taking pictures of her while she sleeps, a “crush”, because it was done by a man.
And RayRay63 – Stop playing the victim. The only name i’m sure that applies to you is snowflake as you troll Queerty taking weird ass comments out of context.
rray63
Crystix, perhaps your English is lacking? Where did I play the victim in my questions, which is all they were, questions. If you don’t have any questions then perhaps you are the snowflake. I didn’t take anything out of context. Do you know the definition of victim and snowflake? If not I can happily send you a link. Are you so starved for attention that you very rabidly make things up to get it? Or perhaps we are not supposed to ask questions? Is that your contention? Are you the arbiter of all things just? Maybe we should just take your word, go home and rest peacefully knowing that you are on the case. Or, more appropriately in this case you should seek out some professional psychiatric help, because your comments certainly lead one to believe that you are in need of their services. Try and have a nice night.

Imagine if you dated a guy for a long time, moved in together, maybe even combined finances. Then one day, you open a computer he hardly ever uses to find pictures of yourself from over a decade before you knew him. Not just social media photos, but spycam photos from your bedroom, bathroom, and gym locker room.
Does that paint a better picture? You’d be creeped the fuck out, wouldn’t you? Now imagine someone did something similar, but with your brother, after dating you for a long time. It would be confusing and shocking and probably leave you feeling a little sick.
It’s not that he was collecting and even taking secret photos of a guy. It’s that he was collecting and taking secret photos and spy cam footage at all. And then, in addition to that she’s confused as to why it would be her own brother, of all people.
Having said that, I think that another poster is right and that she made up the excuse that she needed to print something when she took the story to reddit. I think it’s much more likely that she was snooping, and the trust in the relationship is already broken. She just confirmed that there was something she couldn’t trust about her boyfriend, but the relationship is already damaged beyond repair either way. At least with this find, she now has a legit reason to break it off as soon as humanly possible for her own safety and her brother’s.

“I would’ve noticed something like that.” That’s something people say to help them sleep at night.
That it had reached this level indicates that you didn’t notice.
Rustie
Larry, If a male took pix of a female (or vice-versa) sleeping and changing without her knowledge or permission it would also clearly be labeled “obsession”.
Paco
That sounds extremely creepy. It would be the same as walking into a room and seeing stalker pictures all over the walls. Not sure why she needs advice for this.
I’m guessing it is a fake Reddit story.
GayEGO
Tee hee! Maybe her boyfriend wanted to match up with her brother from the beginning!
rray63
Is there more to this story than we have been told? I remember the old saying, there is her version, his version and then the truth. Not saying she is lying, just wondering if there is another side to it. Do we know for certain that her brother was unaware that he was being photographed? If so, then this is very creepy and I’m not sure if it’s illegal but certainly hitting the realm of illegal. But if the brother knew he was being photographed, then you have a different story entirely. If there were as many as she makes it out to be I have to wonder that the brother never knew about it? Again, I’d like to hear from both the boyfriend and her brother. It would give us a more complete picture (no pun intended) about what was going on. Again, for those that will want to call me names, I’m not saying she is lying. I just want more information before I condemn someone. It seems the internet has decided these days that we are judge, jury and executioner w/out being in complete awareness of all information. Something to think about.
Mick406
You have a point. Maybe it’s the other way around! Could the brother be sending all these pictures to the older guy?!!! Maybe he’s asked him to keep a lot of pictures of him and he’s luring the guy into his grips (pun intended). She should be savvy enough with a computer to see how they were logged in and see if they came from her brother.
jcoberkrom
If the brother doesn’t know about the pics then it is creepy.
If he does she should just help plan their wedding!
Curtispsf
This woman’s “head in the sand” statement that “I would have noticed something like that” reminds me of the mother of a serial killer saying “My son wouldn’t have done something like THAT. He was a GOOD boy.” Pics, please. Of the brother. AND your boyfriend.
Dymension
I would confront him in front of her brother.
Nosso Crankee
Yeah! And watch the boys tongue each other while the Snoop sister crumbles!!!
Mick406
Nosso Crankee
Why did you make me scream out loud laughing?!!! I scared everyone in the room!!!!
rbernard
It is called a man crush and it happens occasionally to men who identify as straight, who in reality are curious and hadn’t acted on their attractions or maybe they have.
Never the less, the girl needs to have a friendly sit down with her boyfriends and sanely sort this all out.
rray63
rbernard, you really should read the comment by Crystix, apparently if we ask further questions of this woman we are either snowflakes or playing the victim. I’m not sure how this person with a tenuous grip on reality arrived at this conclusion but it was certainly entertaining to read! I really did laugh out loud.
Donston
Taking photos of of your gf’s brother when he’s asleep or getting dressed and he’s unaware of it ain’t simply some cute straight/hetero-leaning man crush.
Billy Budd
The woman should become the bridesmaid of her cute brother’s marriage with her former boyfriend. And everyvody should be happy in the end.
MaxTaste
Mercy, this is beyond fake.
inbama
Sex with your girlfriend’s brother is a fairly common plot in porn movies.
QueerTruth
Exactly…
It’s entirely a Reddit troll’s fantasy and look at all these queer fools running to the bathroom with their box of tissues. Oye
QueerTruth
OMG this is an article about a REDDIT story! LMAO.
No conversation or opinions are needed for made-up fantasies.
Boooo on Queerty for publishing this bologna.

You need to move out.
You need to warn your brother to move on, stalker, danger!
