“Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton has raised more than $8 million for former rival Barack Obama‘s presidential campaign since July and plans to barnstorm the country for even more cash, as the New York senator works to show she is aggressively helping the candidate who cut short her White House bid. ‘I am using every tool that I have to help Democrats win,’ Clinton told USA Today. She was between fundraising events in Texas and California that brought in another $1.5 million for Obama and congressional candidates on Friday and Saturday.” [USA Today]

Thank God. Light a fire under the old man too, Hill 🙂

“I am using every tool I have to help Democrats win” Democrats. Not Obama. It’s party loyalty. Which is admirable but not selfless. I love Hillary. I hope she runs in 2012!

The Clintons can never do enough for Obama without people like Kevin, above, and – more egregiouisly – Andrew Sullivan constantly putting them down. Bill and Hillary are actively and effectively campaigning for Obama. They should be commended, not demeaned!

Hillary will be running in 2012 — I just hope it’s for senator from New York again. She has proven to be an able, effective senator; and, just as Teddy Kennedy has proven, a failed White House bid can be a good thing for the country and for a person’s legacy.
seitan-on-a-stick
Barack will be President, Hillary will be the New Lion of the Senate (she co-sponsors more bills than anyone) and Andrew Sullivan will be balder, fatter and less relevant (if that’s even possible.)
fredo777
Smart move. She’s showing that she isn’t bitter in case she wants to run in 2012.

#3 and #5……you are both funny and accurate!!!!

“bitter†small-town Americans – those are Obama words.
She’s great, always has been but there’s a new girl in town and she knows her only chance for running again in 2012 is to assure an Obama defeat which would make her more than a hero in my book. Anyways lets just hope those bitter small town Americans that Obama hates so much and wants to see just as dirt poor as his brother who lives in a hut in Kenya wake up and save this Nation along with their wallets.

We’ll need Hillary in 2012 to clean up the mess created by whichever unqualified candidate is elected President in November, Obama or McCain. Provided that Wall Street doesn’t have us all in debtor’s prison by then.

She’s hot!

Now this is an example of a classy lady. She has every reason to fade out of this, let Obama’s chips fall wherever they may and just take care of herself. But no, she is able to see the bigger picture and she is helping to see that it happens. How sad it would be for all women if a piece of trash like Palin went down in history as the first woman in the White House. It would set women back 50 years in this country. Palin just reinforces a lot of stereotypes that only cunty, trashy, slutty broads get ahead and women of intelligence, dignity and decorum stay in the background. We cannot let that happen, for Hilary as well as all women.

“cunty, trashy, slutty broad”
MDS,
Your comments in favor of Hilary are much appreciated, but you undermine your own case by using such demeaning sexist insults, Palin or no Palin. They are beyond the pale for anyone who claims to favor GLBT rights. In fact, there seems to be a disturbing streak of misogyny displayed by some here on Queerty that rivals that of straight bigots.
