Well that was fun while it lasted: After the Wyoming State House missed a procedural deadline to move on a bill that would ban out-of-state gay marriages from being recognized, the Senate voted the bill down in a 16-14 vote (the big issue is whether the new law would still let gay couples have access to the court to settle their disputes), meaning it’s up to the State Supreme Court to decide whether Wyoming will ban same-sex marriages from taking place in the state, but treat them as valid if performed elsewhere. Great job, lawmakers, handing over your job to judges.

Hey, the legislature in Iowa did that and it didn’t turn out quite how they expected. 😉
