Now you, gay comic-book lover, can own a piece of superhero history: Marvel Comics is auctioning off the original artwork for the full-color splash page from X-Men #50, which shows the marriage proposal between Northstar and his boyfriend, Kyle Jinadu.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the auction is being overseen by a rep for issue artist Mike Perkins. It includes five early sketches, the black and white ink original, and then the full color final illustration.

The actual wedding takes place in Issue 51, which goes on sale at the end of the month. We can’t wait to post the artwork of that happiest of days once it hits the shelves.

So I guess nobody read this issue? Kyle turned Northstar down when he proposed. I actually have no idea how this marriage is going to happen because the issue before, everything is completely up in the air. Oh well.
