If the porn industry has won its 10-year battle for the .XXX top-level domain, does that bode well for the chances of .GAY? The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers has finally granted approval for .XXX (which got slapped with red tape by the Bush administration), meaning you’ll soon be able to register ThievingLittleShits.xxx if Corbin Fisher doesn’t get it first. Not that the smut industry is thrilled with the new domain names, since there’s supposedly a threat to push all adult sites into the .XXX arena. Which, uh, is stupid: Porn sites can still keep their .COM domain names. Nobody is ghettoizing anyone. Reserve that for the launch of .GAY, when international governments will force all homosexual websites to wear their Internet scarlet letter.
