I agree with you Tallskin. And with the economic downturn American workers who have few protections under the law are losing jobs left and right in global companies who find it legally harder to reduce their European and UK staffs. Sour times indeed.

The attemt to assimilate gay people has been the WORST disaster in our history; Mainstreamin has not resuylted in any more than an illusion that we are “normal” which we are not: Get over it guys: yoiu are a minority and conspicuously different and always will be. our only hope is to sucker punch back. This Quasi-closet of Sulivans is doomed and just a wishful fantasy.
In the days of gay liberation we were learning to fight back, and we did. No point in whining, there has been no real, only a virtual acceptance; we’ll keep getting beat up until we figure out the rules of the game.

Yes this happened in Vancouver and its about the 3rd one reported in the last 2 or 3 months. Nobody is certain if they are increasing or people are just standing up and reporting them since the Jordan Smith incident. Vancouver is a really cool city and most of the time its really safe, but outside of Vancouver there are towns like Abottsford, Surrey, so on and so forth send a lot of their trash into the city to party. Some of these little towns can contain as many red necks as any town you will find in Mississippi. What makes Canada truly wonderful is its constitution and being fortunate enough to have elected officials who are often times far brighter than those they represent.
The people of Canada are not a lot different went comes to liberal issues such as gay rights, the city folk are more left wing and better educated, the rural folk are more right wing and uneducated. So though we have equal rights here in Canada, it does not mean the fight is over.

All it will take is one or two incidents of the queers bashing their homophobe attackers into a bloody pulp or worse to make these knuckle draggers to think twice before they jump into the transcamero and drive into the gay hood from the suburbs with the intent to kill or beat up fags.

True, Vancouver has a West End but if you just read the context of the excerpt here on Queerty, nothing indicates the story takes place in Vancouver. You have to click the link at the end of the article (or at least hover over it) to see that the story is Canadian in origin. So, I can understand why someone would think this took place in London, as that’s where I think many minds go when they first hear West End.
Just sayin’. Lots of hating going on over a simple mistake. Enough of the world hates us without us hating on each other over stupid shit.

It grieves me to write a bad review. Chris Hiller is a compulsive liar. Back on the 2nd of August, he asked to “borrow” $20. I lent it to him, provided that he could find some essentials for my arrival in Vancouver (plate, knife&fork,etc). He told me he would have it in 2 days. It has been one month, and he has repeatedly asked me to borrow more money in order to get this “stuff”. He now is telling me it will take at least another 3 months. He also lied about his beliefs, which are in fact opposed to mine. Never trust, employ, or support this man. He will use you.
