Ryan Murphy just revealed who’ll be playing fashion icon Donatella Versace in American Crime Story‘s third season.
The show, which premieres in 2018, centers around the murder of Gianni Versace (Edgar Ramirez) at the hands of Andrew Cunanan (Darren Criss).

Murphy has chosen Penelope Cruz (Vanilla Sky, Vicki Christina Barcelona) to take on the role of the fashion designer/vice president of The Versace Group.

Screw Versace, who are the boys flanking her?

Those would be the boys hired to screw Versace.

How the hell is Cruz ever supposed to look like that train wreck Donatella. They would have been better off casting John Travolta.

I thought Kellyanne Conway would’ve been a good choice. I hear she’s going to be looking for a new job before much longer.

That was my immediate thought as well. Tony Perkins would also be a great Norman Bates in Psycho…

Cathy Griffin looks more like Donatella than Penelope

And hopefully once agian Murphy’s involvement ends with the casting and directing one episode. Looking forward to seeing Cruz who had a nice streak of solid performances mid last decade.

I thought for sure that they would have cast an old leather Coach bag for the part.

Kelly Anne Conway’s agent must have MIA. She would have certainly been my #1 pick for at least looking like Donatella.
