In my head, Julie Goldman and Brandy Howard had a pajama party at my house last night and while I rested my head on Julie’s lap, Brandy was giving me a pedicure, and we clinked our glasses together in at least three toasts to our friendship. In real life, they delivered this response to all the stupid faggoty fag fag jokes Hollywood producers still put in movies when looking for The Dudes to fill seats. That wonderful feeling your having? It’s called “resonance.” [via]

And don’t even go NEAR hip-hop. Are straight insecure men really this emotionally imprisoned? Why can’t people stop selling this stuff and go to the next thing? Gays don’t seem to have as many problems moving on I guess.

Another dumb homophobic movie from our liberal “friends” in Hollywood. What a shocker. But hey, as long as it sells tickets by exploiting popular homophobia among young, impressionable suburban teenagers…..who cares.

As an intelligent movie goer, I had no desire to see Hot Tub Time Machine. Julie Goldman makes a statement most of us have been saying for decades. Not funny. No place in society at all. Don’t glorify it by putting it in a movie millions of zoned out teenage boys will see. We understood the characters to be hetero before we bought a ticket. Just stop it!

I have a problem with “No Homo Jokes (But Everything Else is Fair Game),” the same way I’d have a problem with “No Black Jokes (But Everything Else is Fair Game)” or “No Rape Jokes (But Everything Else is Fair Game),” or really any variation on that. It’s stupid. Even though I love Julie Goldman.

Well it’s well known that you can’t be offensive towards Jews in Hollywood movies. That would be quickly denounced as “anti-semitic”. Why shouldn’t the Gay community be afforded the same courtesy and respect by Hollywood? Prejudice against Gays is a much more serious and widespread problem in America than is anti-semitism.

@Daniel It’s a joke, I think you’re taking it too literally.

Well hubby and I watched “Another Gay Movie” last night — yeah a Saturday night but I’m nursing a hernia.
Overall, kinda funny, amazing the way the world has changed in the 32 years since my high school days — all we had then was Paul Lynde and Liberace.
Anyway, quite the collection of “…Stupid Movie Gay Jokes Would Be Tolerable, If They Were Funny…” jokes.
