It’s lovely to see, however, that at long last the Holy See is letting the Devil off the hook.

Of course! Yet, you don’t hear the Church declaring to the public that for the first several hundred years of the Church’s inception, it would NOT solemnize marriages. It thought that marriages were inconsistent with Christian belief systems.

If another high up official was caught covering up the same exact scandal, he’d be thrown in jail for so many things, most likely of all for the obstruction of justice. But since he’s god’s go-to guy, we’re supposed to cut him some slack.
