Following the raid and arrest, activists Ellen Chademana and Ignatius Muhambi face trial next month, but in the meantime they’ve been released on bail. “Defense attorney David Hofisi said the two were also made to bend their knees into a sitting position with their arms outstretched for long periods and were struck with bottles when they weakened and fell.” [AP]

Mr. Enemabag Jones
When the gov’t did this to Islamic terrorists, it was called torture. What do these Islamofacists call it?
Mike
Hey ‘Mt.EnemaBag’ Some 85% of Zimbabweans are Christian! LOL. Did you read before oepning your mouth? Idiot
Mike
Under 1% of the population is Muslim! I think you just got owned! FAIL

I know your tongue is in your cheek but ‘Some Lovely Prison Abuse’?! It’s torture. I don’t know why the gay press – it’s not just Queerty – isn’t using the word used by Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights.
It’s not as if the Harare police don’t have form! The Superintendent responsible for issuing the warrants has particular form with disappearances and torture of opposition activists.
They also raided the house of GALZ (Zim’s gay org) Director – it seems like a campaign has been launched. GALZ believe it’s because they contributed to the discussion around the new constitution.
A headline ‘gay activists allege torture in Zimbabwe’ is a bit more attention grabbing you’d think? Or maybe these activists’ horror will just disappear off the international gay agenda … ?

@Mike:
Oh yes, Mike, I got owned. You’ve done a wonderful job of defending Muslims. Allah will be pleased, and grant you the finest of his 72 virgins.
Mike
OK Mr. Enemabag Jones, stay classy! I was just pointing out that the story had NOTHING to do with Muslims. Great display name by the way you classy guy!
